Dubstep software price and where to buy

I've pretty much figured out that buying software to make music and Dubstep is not going to be cheap. I looked up some of the main software is that the guys are using to produce a lot of doubts that be possible like thousand dollars just to get started.

Trying to figure out how they come about this stuff but I'm sure they just invest the money and it's a hobby that kind of entails a lot of money upfront to start. I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this software quite yet just because I don't have extra money right now but I was wondering if there's any way around that or if the good software just cost that much money.

Maybe this software it does just cost that much money because of what it does.

Is there any alternative software that I can do the same type of stuff on? Just the software alone is like US$700 and that's a pretty crazy price to someone that is as young as me.
